1 AN ACT
2 To enact R.S. 56:268 and 3002(A)(7) and (B)(9), relative to recreational alligator hunting
3 licenses; to provide for recreational alligator harvest lottery; to provide for the fee
4 and dedication to the Conservation Fund; to provide for a recreational license; to
5 provide for effectiveness; and to provide for related matters.
6 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
7 Section 1. R.S. 56:268 and 3002(A)(7) and (B)(9) are hereby enacted to read as
8 follows:
9 §268. Recreational alligator harvest lottery
10 A. The commission shall promulgate and adopt rules and regulations to
11 establish a lottery for the selection and issuance of alligator harvest tags. There shall
12 be a fifty-dollar nonrefundable entry fee for alligator harvest tag lottery applications.
13 Alligator harvest tags may be issued to successful and eligible lottery applicants at
14 no cost.
15 B. All revenues derived from lottery applications and auction proceeds shall
16 be deposited into the Conservation Fund.
