2 To amend and reenact R.S. 32:414(I)(1), relative to reinstatement fees for certain suspended
3 licenses; to provide for an increase in reinstatement fees applicable to a person
4 whose license was suspended for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence
5 of alcoholic beverages, narcotic drugs, or certain stimulants; and to provide for
6 related matters.
7 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
8 Section 1. R.S. 32:414(I)(1) is hereby amended and reenacted to read as follows:
9 §414. Suspension, revocation, renewal, and cancellation of licenses; judicial review

11 I.(1) The reinstatement fee for a license of a person who has been convicted
12 of or forfeited bond on or entered a plea of guilty or nolo contendere to a charge of
13 operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of beverages of high alcoholic
14 content, of low alcoholic content, of narcotic drugs, or of central nervous system
15 stimulants shall be one two hundred dollars if one conviction appears listed on his
16 record prior to application for reinstatement; two four hundred dollars if two such
17 convictions appear on his record prior to application for reinstatement; and three six
18 hundred dollars for each conviction on his record after the second conviction prior
