1 AN ACT
2 To amend and reenact R.S. 33:4305(B)(3), relative to Livingston Parish Gas Utility District
3 No. 1; to provide relative to the members of the board of commissioners of the
4 district; to increase the maximum per diem authorized to be paid to such members;
5 and to provide for related matters.
6 Notice of intention to introduce this Act has been published
7 as provided by Article III, Section 13 of the Constitution of
8 Louisiana.
9 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
10 Section 1. R.S. 33:4305(B)(3) is hereby amended and reenacted to read as follows:
11 §4305. Domicile; meetings; officers; bonds; depositories; compensation; rate fixing

15 (3) Notwithstanding any contrary provision of this Subsection or of any other
16 provision of law, no member of the board of commissioners of Livingston Parish Gas
17 Utility District No. 1 shall receive a salary for the performance of his duties as a
18 member. Each member may receive a per diem for each meeting attended, up to
19 fifty meetings per year, and for each day devoted to the business of the district. The
20 board shall fix the amount of the per diem in an amount not to exceed seventy-five

1 one hundred twenty-five dollars per day. A member may be reimbursed for all
2 proper expenses incurred in carrying out the business of the district. The board may
3 fix reasonable additional compensation, commensurate with the additional duties
4 performed, for a member who serves as secretary or treasurer or secretary-treasurer
5 of the board.
