ENERGY: Prohibits carbon capture facilities from sharing pipelines
1 AN ACT
2 To enact R.S. 30:1116, relative to carbon dioxide pipelines; to prohibit carbon capture
3 facilities from utilizing the same pipeline; and to provide for related matters.
4 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
5 Section 1. R.S. 30:1116 is hereby enacted to read as follows:
6 §1116. Shared pipelines
7 Notwithstanding any other provision of law to the contrary, the owners or
8 operators of separate storage facilities shall not utilize the same pipelines for
9 transport of carbon dioxide for storage.
