BY REPRESENTATIVES ZERINGUE AND THOMPSON
1 AN ACT
2 To enact R.S. 40:1666.5(C), relative to the Fireman's Supplemental Pay Board; to provide
3 for membership on the board and qualifications therefore; to provide for an effective
4 date; and to provide for related matters.
5 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
6 Section 1. R.S. 40:1666.5(C) is hereby enacted to read as follows:
7 §1666.5. Fireman's Supplemental Pay Board

9 C. No person who does not receive state supplemental pay pursuant to R.S.
10 40:1666.1 shall serve on the board.
11 * * *
12 Section 2. This Act shall become effective on January 1, 2028; if vetoed by the
13 governor and subsequently approved by the legislature, this Act shall become effective on
14 January 1, 2028, or on the day following such approval by the legislature, whichever is later.
