HOUSE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION NO. 1
BY REPRESENTATIVE MCCORMICK
CONGRESS: Memorializes the La. congressional delegation to investigate the individuals
implicated in the Epstein files and ensure they are prosecuted and held responsible
through every available legal process
1 A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION
2 To memorialize the Louisiana congressional delegation to take such actions as are necessary
3 to ensure that all individuals implicated in the Jeffrey Epstein files, including those
4 involved in alleged criminal activities such as child sex trafficking, blackmail, and
5 bribery, are fully investigated, prosecuted, and held responsible through every
6 available legal process.
7 WHEREAS, the Epstein Files Transparency Act (Pub. L. 119-38) was passed by
8 Congress and signed into law on November 19, 2025, requiring the United States
9 Department of Justice to release unclassified documents related to the prosecution of Jeffrey
10 Epstein; and
11 WHEREAS, the Epstein Files Transparency Act mandates the public disclosure of
12 records in a searchable format with redactions limited to protecting victim identities; and
13 WHEREAS, initial releases began on December 19, 2025, followed by additional
14 disclosures in January of 2026 that revealed details of Epstein's network; and
15 WHEREAS, the files have disclosed alleged involvement of high-profile individuals
16 in criminal activities that include child sex trafficking involving minors as young as nine
17 years of age, rape, blackmail, bribery, and a client list implicating politicians and wealthy
18 individuals; and
19 WHEREAS, these allegations represent serious violations of law and public trust;

1 WHEREAS, full accountability is essential to uphold justice and protect the public.
2 THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Legislature of Louisiana does hereby
3 memorialize the Louisiana congressional delegation to ensure that all individuals implicated
4 in the Epstein files are fully investigated, prosecuted, and charged through every available
5 legal process.
6 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to each
7 member of the Louisiana congressional delegation.
