HOUSE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION NO. 25
BY REPRESENTATIVES BERAULT AND GLORIOSO
A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION
To commend the Pope John Paul II Catholic High School Boys' Swim Team on winning its
sixth consecutive Louisiana High School Athletic Association Division IV state
championship.
WHEREAS, it is most fitting to recognize the Pope John Paul II Catholic High
School Boys' Swim Team for its sustained excellence in competition and to commend the
team on winning its sixth-consecutive Louisiana High School Athletic Association Division
IV state championship; and
WHEREAS, the boys' swim team is led by Head Coach Tiffany Hooks Hill, and the
team's moderator is Mona Erato; Richard Dieudonne serves as the school's director of
athletics, and Kimberlie Kilroy serves as the head of school; and
WHEREAS, seniors Michael Delaney, Cole Hutson, Brent Lusich, Eric Ring, and
Zayne Sterbenz serve as captains of the team, and the remaining members of the team
include James Clements, Dimitrios Fronistas, Chase Hayden, Gabriel Laurente, and Sawyer
Smith; and
WHEREAS, the boys' swim team began its state championship streak in 2020; the
team followed up the impressive season by dominating in Division IV competitions and
winning state championships in 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025; and
WHEREAS, Eric Ring was recognized as the Most Outstanding Swimmer in 2022,
2024, and 2025; during the 2025 state meet, he won both the 200M freestyle and the 500M
freestyle; Michael Delaney placed sixth in the 100M breaststroke, Dimitrios Fronistas placed
sixth in the 100M fly, Cole Hutson placed second in the 200M individual medley and fifth
in the 100M backstroke, Brent Lusich placed fourth in the 200M freestyle and sixth in the
100M freestyle, and Zayne Sterbenz placed second in the 50M freestyle; and

WHEREAS, the relay team of Eric Ring, Brent Lusich, Cole Hutson, and Zayne
Sterbenz claimed first place in the 400M freestyle relay; the team of Cole Hutson, Michael
Delaney, Eric Ring, and Zayne Sterbenz placed first in the 200M medley relay; and
WHEREAS, the Pope John Paul II Catholic High School Boys' Swim Team is most
deserving of the highest recognition for their incredible achievements over the past six
seasons.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Legislature of Louisiana does hereby
commend the Pope John Paul II Catholic High School Boys' Swim Team on winning its
sixth consecutive Louisiana High School Athletic Association Division IV state
championship and does hereby encourage the members of the team to continue their
excellent work and always strive for greatness.
