HOUSE RESOLUTION NO. 19
BY REPRESENTATIVE BUTLER
A RESOLUTION
To designate Tuesday, March 17, 2026, as Louisiana Nursery and Landscape Association
Day at the state capitol and commends the members of the association for their
dedication to advancing horticulture, promoting environmental stewardship, and
supporting the beautification and sustainability of the state of Louisiana.
WHEREAS, the Louisiana Nursery and Landscape Association (LNLA) is a
nonprofit professional trade association that provides services and support to wholesale
growers, brokers, retailers, landscape horticulturists, landscape architects, grounds
maintenance contractors, interiorscapers, and allied suppliers within Louisiana’s nursery and
landscape industry; and
WHEREAS, the LNLA strives to provide its members with educational, marketing,
and networking opportunities essential to the continued growth and sustainability of the
horticultural industry; and
WHEREAS, the LNLA works cooperatively with numerous state, regional, and
national green industry organizations to advance horticulture, strengthen professional
collaboration, and support the nursery and landscape industry; and
WHEREAS, the nursery and landscape professionals of Louisiana make significant
contributions to the state by diligently growing, cultivating, and promoting the plants, trees,
and landscapes that enrich our communities and strengthen our agricultural economy; and
WHEREAS, the members of the LNLA are dedicated to advancing the horticulture
industry and supporting the continued growth and success of Louisiana’s nursery and
landscape sector; and
WHEREAS, through their commitment to excellence, education, and responsible
industry practices, the members of the LNLA help ensure high professional standards and
the continued development of skilled professionals within the industry; and

WHEREAS, the nursery and landscape industry plays a vital role in promoting
environmental stewardship, conserving natural resources, and enhancing the ecological
health of communities throughout Louisiana; and
WHEREAS, the dedication and leadership demonstrated by the members of the
LNLA continues to enhance Louisiana’s natural beauty and quality of life for residents and
visitors alike.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the House of Representatives of the
Legislature of Louisiana does hereby designate Tuesday, March 17, 2026, as Louisiana
Nursery and Landscape Association Day at the state capitol and does hereby commend the
members of the Louisiana Nursery and Landscape Association for their dedication to
advancing horticulture, promoting environmental stewardship, and supporting the
beautification and sustainability of our great state.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a suitable copy of this Resolution be transmitted
to the president of the board of directors of the Louisiana Nursery and Landscape
Association.
