BY REPRESENTATIVE DICKERSON
A RESOLUTION
To commend Livingston Parish Sheriff Jason Ard and his law enforcement team for their
work in stopping child predators.
WHEREAS, Sheriff Jason Ard, Chief Detective Calvin Bowden, and the Livingston
Parish Sheriff's Office criminal investigations detectives and undercover agents have gone
above and beyond to ensure that Louisiana is protected from the threat of child predators;
and
WHEREAS, the Livingston Parish Sheriff's Office law enforcement officers have put
their lives on the line to protect and serve their community and to ensure that predatory and
violent criminals cannot harm children; and
WHEREAS, the Livingston Parish Sheriff's Office recently worked with Chris
Hansen to conduct a child predator sting, and their efforts resulted in the arrest of thirteen
men; and
WHEREAS, Sheriff Jason Ard, Chief Detective Bowden, and the law enforcement
officers with the Livingston Parish Sheriff's Office are most deserving of the highest
recognition for honoring their commitment to protect the children of Louisiana.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the House of Representatives of the
Legislature of Louisiana does hereby commend Livingston Parish Sheriff Jason Ard and his
law enforcement team for their work in stopping child predators and does hereby express
enduring appreciation for ensuring the safety of children across the state.
