HOUSE RESOLUTION NO. 27

A RESOLUTION
To commend and recognize Livingston Parish Fire Protection District #4 for establishing the
first high school firefighter training program in the state of Louisiana.
WHEREAS, Livingston Parish Fire Protection District #4 has demonstrated
outstanding leadership and innovation in the field of fire service education and training; and
WHEREAS, the district has taken significant steps to prepare the next generation of
firefighters by creating and implementing the first high school firefighter training program
in the state of Louisiana; and
WHEREAS, this pioneering program provides high school students with the unique
opportunity to learn essential firefighting skills, develop teamwork and leadership abilities,
and gain hands-on experience in a profession dedicated to the protection of life and property;
and
WHEREAS, the program not only fosters civic responsibility and public safety
awareness among youth but also strengthens the future of the Louisiana fire service by
cultivating a well-trained, highly motivated pipeline of future firefighters; and
WHEREAS, Livingston Parish Fire Protection District #4 serves as a model for other
fire protection districts and educational institutions across the state, inspiring collaboration
between emergency services and schools to create lasting community impact; and
WHEREAS, the district is most deserving of the highest recognition for its
groundbreaking efforts in advancing fire service training and education for the benefit of the
citizens of Louisiana.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Legislature of Louisiana does hereby
commend and recognize Livingston Parish Fire Protection District #4 for establishing the
first high school firefighter training program in the state of Louisiana and does hereby extend
best wishes for continued success in shaping the future of fire service and public safety.
