BY REPRESENTATIVE TURNER
A RESOLUTION

rural communities, school zones, and congested roadways, and they are always focused on
recognizing the potential for accidents and ensuring the safety of the public and their
truckloads and equipment; and

forests of Louisiana would become overgrown and unproductive; log truck drivers also
contribute significantly to local economies by purchasing parts, fuel, and lubricants; they
also support charitable causes and community needs; and
WHEREAS, log truck drivers face a variety of day-to-day issues, including inclimate
weather, a volatile market, and equipment failures; these problems often result in long work
hours, and drivers rely on their faith and family to overcome them; and
WHEREAS, Malcolm "Coldblooded" Lee was selected by the Louisiana Logging
Council to represent all that is good about log truck drivers, and his professional reputation
