BY REPRESENTATIVE TERRY LANDRY
A RESOLUTION
To commend Thrive Academy and Thrive Foundation for their commitment to expanding
educational opportunity for students in Louisiana and to designate Monday,
March 23, 2026, as Thrive Day at the capitol.
WHEREAS, Thrive Academy is a public boarding school located in Baton Rouge
that serves students from communities across the state of Louisiana and provides an
educational environment designed to prepare young people for academic success, leadership,
and lifelong opportunity; and
WHEREAS, the students of Thrive Academy represent multiple parishes and more
than twenty-nine legislative districts across Louisiana and embody the promise, talent, and
potential of this state's young people, demonstrating the importance of expanding access to
high-quality educational opportunities; and
WHEREAS, Thrive Foundation partners with Thrive Academy to help remove
barriers and expand opportunities for students through initiatives such as Thrive Essentials,
Thrive Within, Thrive Together, Thrive Beyond, and Thrive Tomorrow, which provide
resources that support student well-being, family stability, experiential learning, workforce
exposure, and college and career readiness; and
WHEREAS, the collaborative efforts of Thrive Academy and Thrive Foundation
demonstrate a shared commitment to investing in Louisiana's students and strengthening the
future of this state through education, opportunity, and community support; and
WHEREAS, the Class of 2026, the largest graduating class in Thrive Academy's
history, is present at the Louisiana State Capitol in recognition of Thrive Day at the capitol
and serves as a testament to the school's continued growth and impact on students across
Louisiana.

THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the House of Representatives of the
Legislature of Louisiana does hereby commend Thrive Academy and Thrive Foundation for
their dedication to supporting students and expanding educational opportunity in Louisiana;
does hereby commend the students of Thrive Academy, including the members of the Class
of 2026 present at the state capitol; does hereby extend best wishes for continued success in
their academic pursuits and future endeavors; and does hereby designate Monday, March 23,
2026, as Thrive Day at the capitol.
