A RESOLUTION
To commend Dr. Mark Johnson on his inauguration as president of Louisiana Christian
University and to commemorate one hundred twenty years of academic excellence,
faith, and service to the state of Louisiana and beyond.
WHEREAS, Louisiana Christian University was founded in 1906 and has faithfully
served the state of Louisiana and the nation for one hundred twenty years by providing
Christ-centered higher education and cultivating generations of leaders grounded in faith,
integrity, and scholarship; and
WHEREAS, throughout its distinguished history, the university has remained
steadfast in its mission to prepare students for lives of learning, leadership, and service and
made a lasting impact on central Louisiana and communities across the nation; and
WHEREAS, the inauguration of Dr. Mark Johnson as president marks a significant
and celebratory milestone in the university's enduring legacy and ushers in a new era of
visionary leadership, continued growth, and strengthened commitment to academic and
spiritual excellence; and
WHEREAS, Dr. Johnson's leadership reflects a dedication to advancing the mission
of Louisiana Christian University while honoring its rich heritage and positioning the
institution for continued success in the years ahead; and
WHEREAS, it is most fitting and proper to recognize both this momentous occasion
and the remarkable legacy of Louisiana Christian University as it celebrates one hundred
twenty years of transformative impact.
