A RESOLUTION
To express the condolences of the House of Representatives on the death of Tyler Marie
Grezaffi.
WHEREAS, it is with immense sadness and profound regret that the House of
Representatives of the Legislature of Louisiana has learned of the tragic passing, on
March 18, 2026, of Tyler Marie Grezaffi; and
WHEREAS, Tyler Marie Grezaffi was born on July 14, 1998, in Baton Rouge,
Louisiana, to Scott and Marie Grezaffi; and
WHEREAS, Tyler was a dedicated law enforcement and corrections professional;
she served as a deputy with the Pointe Coupee and Iberville Parish Sheriff's Offices, and at
the time of her passing, was employed as a master sergeant at the Louisiana State
Penitentiary; and
WHEREAS, Tyler was known for her compassion, professionalism, and commitment
to public service, and she touched the lives of many throughout her promising career; and
WHEREAS, Tyler enjoyed new adventures with her fiancé Brandon, going on the
Grezaffi girls' trips, spending New Years Eve with family at Uncle PJ's Lodge in Sicily
Island, and serving as an investigator at the Louisiana State Penitentiary; and
WHEREAS, Tyler is survived by her loving father, Scott Grezaffi (DeeDee); mother,
Marie Grezaffi; sister, Shannon Grezaffi Legendre (Eric); brother, Ryan Grezaffi; Nana,
Toni Foret Grezaffi; Nanny, Andi Grezaffi Perkins; uncle, Paul "PJ" Perkins; cousin, Darby
McIntosh Carriere (Nick); nephew, Bishop Greene; niece, Kullen Greene; and fiancé,
Brandon Blackburn; and

WHEREAS, Tyler Marie Grezaffi was a truly beautiful soul and dedicated public
servant whose memory shall live in perpetuity in the hearts and minds of those who were
privileged to have known and loved her.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the House of Representatives of the
Legislature of Louisiana does hereby express heartfelt condolences on the death of Tyler
Marie Grezaffi and does hereby extend sincere wishes that her family, friends, and loved
ones find comfort in their shared memories of her beautiful life.
