HOUSE RESOLUTION NO. 99

A RESOLUTION
To commend Melissa Frost and David Atwood, hosts of The Melissa & David Show on
KRRV-FM in Alexandria, Louisiana, on the occasion of the tenth anniversary of
their program on April 1, 2026, and to recognize their outstanding contributions to
broadcasting and to the citizens of Central Louisiana.
WHEREAS, The Melissa & David Show, hosted by Melissa Frost and David
Atwood, has entertained and informed listeners across Central Louisiana each weekday
morning for the past decade and become a staple of daily life for area residents; and
WHEREAS, since its inception, the show has provided not only humor and
entertainment, but also meaningful engagement with the community through local news,
events, and outreach efforts that strengthen the bonds of the region; and
WHEREAS, Melissa Frost and David Atwood have demonstrated exceptional talent,
professionalism, and dedication to their craft and earned widespread recognition for their
work; and
WHEREAS, their program has been honored by the Louisiana Association of
Broadcasters as both the Best Morning Show in the State and Best Personality Radio Team,
which reflects their excellence and popularity among audiences and peers alike; and
WHEREAS, they have also received the distinguished Programmer of the Year
Award from CDX Traction in Nashville, Tennessee, which further demonstrates their impact
and leadership within the broadcasting industry; and
WHEREAS, through their energy, humor, and commitment to excellence, Melissa
Frost and David Atwood have brought pride to Alexandria and the entire Central Louisiana
region and serve as ambassadors of positivity and connection through the airwaves; and

WHEREAS, the tenth anniversary of The Melissa & David Show on April 1, 2026,
marks a significant milestone, and Melissa Frost and David Atwood are most deserving of
the highest recognition for their outstanding contributions to Central Louisiana.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the House of Representatives of the
Legislature of Louisiana does hereby commend and congratulate Melissa Frost and David
Atwood on the celebration of the tenth anniversary of The Melissa & David Show and does
hereby extend best wishes for continued success in the years to come.
