1 AN ACT
2 To amend and reenact R.S. 47:463.142(A), (B), and (E), relative to motor vehicle special
3 prestige license plates; to provide for the creation, issuance, design, and fee
4 disbursement of the "RSEA" specialty prestige license plate; and to provide for
5 related matters.
6 Notice of intention to introduce this Act has been published.
7 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
8 Section 1. R.S. 47:463.142(A), (B), and (E) are hereby amended and reenacted to
9 read as follows:
10 §463.142. Special prestige license plate; "State Employee Retired RSEA"
11 A. The secretary of the Department of Public Safety and Corrections shall
12 establish a special prestige motor vehicle license plate to be known as the "State
13 Employee Retired RSEA" plate, provided there is a minimum of one thousand
14 applicants for such plates. These license plates shall be restricted to use on passenger
15 cars, pickup trucks, recreational vehicles, and vans.
16 B. The special prestige license plate shall be known as the "State Employee
17 Retired RSEA" license plate and shall bear the likeness of the shape of the state of
18 Louisiana centered on the left side of the license plate and shall display the state seal
19 centered inside of the outline of the state shape. The words word "State Employee
20 Retired RSEA" shall be centered under the "Louisiana" name logo at the top of the
21 plate. The center of the plate shall display a number, with the first issued plate
22 displaying the number one and shall continue in consecutive numerical order for
23 each plate. Centered at the bottom of the plate below the number shall be the words
24 "Louisiana State Employees Retirement System" the RSEA logo.

26 E. The monies received from the additional twenty-five dollar fee shall be
27 annually disbursed to the Louisiana State Employees Retirement System and used
