2 To amend and reenact R.S. 49:1302(D) and R.S. 43:82(5) as redesignated from R.S.
3 49:1302(5) by Acts 2025, No. 374, relative to boards and commissions; to require
4 email and telephone information of each member on the website; and to provide for
5 related matters.
6 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
7 Section 1. R.S. 49:1302(D) is hereby amended and reenacted to read as follows:
8 §1302. Website; content
9 The website established pursuant to R.S. 49:1301 shall contain the following
10 information for boards, commissions, and like entities covered by this Chapter:

12 D.(1) Contact information, including the name and phone number of one
13 or more at least two contacts at the board, commission, or like entity, including the
14 chairman and the executive director or administrator, if applicable; a mailing
15 address; an e-mail address, if applicable for each member of the board,
16 commission, or like entity; a website address, if applicable; and a phone number for
17 the board, commission, or like entity. The provisions of this Subsection shall not
18 require the use of public funds to provide a phone to a member of a board,
19 commission, or like entity. The chairman shall serve as the emergency point of
20 contact for the board, commission, or like entity.
21 (2) For any parish board of election supervisors, an email address shall
22 not be required for each member, and the phone number and website listed
23 shall be the Department of State elections hotline number and website.

26 374, is hereby amended and reenacted to read as follows:

2 The commissioner of administration shall post on the Official Journal of the
3 State the following information for boards and commissions:

5 (5)(a) Contact information, including the name and phone number of one
6 or more at least two contacts at the board or commission, including the chairman
7 and the executive director or administrator, if applicable; a mailing address; an
8 email address, if applicable for each board or commission member; a website
9 address, if applicable; and a phone number for the board or commission. The
10 provisions of this Paragraph shall not require the use of public funds to provide
11 a phone to a member of a board or commission. The chairman shall serve as the
12 emergency point of contact for the board or commission.
13 (b) Notwithstanding the provisions of Subparagraph (a) of this
14 Paragraph, for a parish board of election supervisors, contact information
15 including the Department of State elections hotline number and website.

17 Section 3. The provisions of Section 2 of this Act shall become effective on July 1,
18 2027.
