CONSERVATION. Provides relative to construction of pipelines on certain water bodies.

1 AN ACT
2 To enact R.S. 30:1108.1, relative to construction of carbon dioxide pipelines on certain
3 water bodies; to provide for prohibitions; and to provide for related matters.
4 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
5 Section 1. R.S. 30:1108.1 is hereby enacted to read as follows:
6 §1108.1. Construction of carbon dioxide pipelines prohibited
7 Notwithstanding any provision of law to the contrary, no person shall
8 construct a pipeline for the purpose, in whole or in part, of transporting carbon
9 dioxide within the boundaries of the following:
10 (1) Lake Maurepas.
11 (2) Lake Ponchartrain.
