A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION
To commend the "LIFTOff Louisiana" team led by the Department of Transportation and
Development's office of multimodal commerce with key support from the Houma-
Terrebonne Airport Commission and the Gulf of America Center of Excellence
(UGC) for Large-Unmanned Aircraft Systems, and their many partners for their roles
in developing a highly successful response to the Federal Aviation Administration's
(FAA) request for proposals for the Electric Vertical Takeoff and Landing and
Advanced Air Mobility Aircraft Integration Pilot Program.
WHEREAS, the LIFTOff Louisiana team has worked and will continue to work with
public and private partners under the guidance of the FAA on a range of specific projects
while adhering to high aviation safety standards; and
WHEREAS, the team and their partners will demonstrate advances in aviation
technological capabilities and operational concepts; and
WHEREAS, the LIFTOff Louisiana team seeks to advance ambitious national
priorities in key areas that serve the public interest, including piloted and unmanned
approaches to air mobility, research and development, emergency management services,
medical transportation, and novel technologies supporting offshore logistics operations; and
WHEREAS, the team's initiatives demonstrate broad public benefits, including
enhanced safety, reduced noise impacts, workforce development, improved traffic and
supply chain management, and strengthened interagency collaboration; and
WHEREAS, the data and lessons learned from these initiatives inform policies that
support operations at scale while maintaining the highest safety standards; and
WHEREAS, the team prioritizes a safety-first approach in informing standards and
guiding future policy development; and
WHEREAS, the legislature is proud to honor and recognize the Department of
Transportation and Development's office of multimodal commerce, the Houma-Terrebonne
Airport Commission, and the UGC.

THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Legislature of Louisiana does hereby
commend the Department of Transportation and Development's office of multimodal
commerce, the Houma-Terrebonne Airport, and the Gulf of America Center of Excellence
for Large-Unmanned Aircraft Systems for their outstanding work and does hereby commend
the "LIFTOff Louisiana" team for their highly successful selection as one of only eight
nationally recognized Electric Vertical Takeoff and Landing and Advanced Air Mobility
Aircraft Integration Pilot Program proposals.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to the
governor of Louisiana, the commissioner of the Department of Transportation and
Development's office of multimodal commerce, the chairman of the Houma-Terrebonne
Airport Commission, and the director of the Center of Excellence for Unmanned Aircraft
Systems.
