A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION
To commend Cheniere Energy for over twenty years of investment, economic leadership,
and energy innovation, as well as ten years of LNG export operations in the state of
Louisiana, and to recognize the company's contributions to job creation, economic
growth, and the global energy marketplace.
WHEREAS, Cheniere Energy has become a global leader in the production and
export of liquefied natural gas (LNG), helping to strengthen the energy sector of the state
of Louisiana and the United States; and
WHEREAS, the company's major operations in Cameron Parish, including the
Sabine Pass Liquefaction Terminal, have positioned Louisiana as a premier hub for LNG
exports and a vital link in global energy supply chains; and
WHEREAS, Cheniere Energy has invested billions of dollars into Louisiana's
infrastructure and workforce, supporting thousands of construction and permanent jobs and
fostering economic development throughout southwest Louisiana and beyond; and
WHEREAS, the company's presence has strengthened local communities through
partnerships with schools, workforce development initiatives, and charitable contributions
that benefit residents across the region; and
WHEREAS, Cheniere Energy's commitment to safety, operational excellence, and
environmental responsibility has helped ensure the continued growth and sustainability of
Louisiana's energy sector; and
WHEREAS, the state of Louisiana recognizes and values corporate partners whose
innovation, leadership, and investment enhance the prosperity of our citizens and strengthen
our role in the global economy.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Legislature of Louisiana does hereby
commend Cheniere Energy on over twenty years of investment, leadership, and innovation,
as well as ten years of LNG export operations in the state of Louisiana and does hereby
express sincere appreciation for the company's continued commitment to economic growth,
energy leadership, and community partnership.
