A RESOLUTION
To commend and congratulate Maggie Danielle Richardson on being selected as the 2025-
2026 "Student of the Year" at Albany High School in Livingston Parish.
WHEREAS, Maggie Danielle Richardson has been selected as the 2025–2026
"Student of the Year" at Albany High School, honoring her outstanding academic
achievement, leadership, character, and service to her school and community; and
WHEREAS, Maggie is a dedicated scholar and honor student who has earned
consistent academic recognition while challenging herself through advanced placement
coursework and maintaining a strong ACT score; and
WHEREAS, beyond the classroom, Maggie is a respected and trusted leader among
her peers, serving in the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and the Student Government
Association, where she has contributed positively to school culture and student engagement;
and
WHEREAS, Maggie extends her leadership and service into the community by
volunteering as a youth basketball coach and serving as a children's ministry leader at her
church, reflecting her strong sense of responsibility, compassion, and service to others; and
WHEREAS, as a member of the Albany Lady Hornets basketball team, Maggie has
helped lead her team to multiple state championship appearances and has earned district
recognition for her athletic performance, teamwork, and exemplary sportsmanship; and
WHEREAS, grounded in faith, family, and service, Maggie has demonstrated
resilience in overcoming personal challenges and has shown a deep compassion for others,
qualities that have inspired her to pursue a career in psychology and counseling.

THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Senate of the Legislature of Louisiana
does hereby commend and congratulate Maggie Danielle Richardson on being selected as
the 2025-2026 "Student of the Year" at Albany High School in Livingston Parish.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to
Maggie Danielle Richardson.
