A RESOLUTION
To commend Geaux Far Louisiana for its leadership in creating an equitable and unified
early childhood system and ensuring that families have access to seamless, high-
quality early child development, health, and educational services in Louisiana and
to designate Tuesday, March 24, 2026, as Geaux Far Louisiana Day at the Louisiana
State Capitol.
WHEREAS, Geaux Far Louisiana was established in 2021 as a cross-sector coalition
with intentional focus on parents and early childhood providers, that advocates for the needs
of Louisiana's children from prenatal through age four; and
WHEREAS, Geaux Far Louisiana believes in a unified early childhood system and
has identified five goals to ensure families have access to seamless, high-quality early
childhood development, health, and educational services; and
WHEREAS, Geaux Far Louisiana collaborates with Louisiana-based partner
organizations dedicated to carrying out specific objectives within each target area that
compliments the work the organizations are already implementing; and
WHEREAS, all families in Louisiana want their children to be healthy, happy, and
to thrive; and
WHEREAS, healthy families and young children, prenatal through age four, are the
backbone of thriving communities and economic vitality for the state of Louisiana; and
WHEREAS, by engaging parents, educators, policymakers, and community leaders,
Geaux Far Louisiana aims to shape policies, advocate for change, and improve outcomes for
young learners statewide; and
WHEREAS, Geaux Far Louisiana encourages individuals to become "Champions
for Children" by lending their voices, time, and talents to advocate for legislative policies.

THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Senate of the Legislature of Louisiana
does hereby commend Geaux Far Louisiana for its leadership in creating an equitable and
unified early childhood system and ensuring that families have access to seamless, high-
quality early child development, health, and educational services in Louisiana and does
hereby designate Tuesday, March 24, 2026, as Geaux Far Louisiana Day at the Louisiana
State Capitol.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to the
Geaux Far Louisiana Coalition.
