A RESOLUTION
To commend and congratulate Fernand "Ferdie" P. Genre upon receiving the Livingston
Economic Development Council's Bob Easterly Award.
WHEREAS, the Livingston Economic Development Council established the Bob
Easterly Award to honor individuals who exemplify outstanding service and commitment
to enhancing economic development and growth in Livingston Parish; and
WHEREAS, the award is named in honor of Robert "Bob" Easterly, a founding
member and past president of the Livingston Economic Development Council whose legacy
of leadership, philanthropy, and dedication to community advancement continues to inspire
those who work to strengthen Livingston Parish and the state of Louisiana; and
WHEREAS, Fernand "Ferdie" P. Genre is a distinguished certified public accountant
who has devoted more than four decades of dedicated service to Livingston Parish; and
WHEREAS, over the course of his forty-three year career in public accounting,
including forty years with Hannis T. Bourgeois, LLP, Ferdie Genre has provided trusted
financial guidance to individuals, small businesses, nonprofit organizations, and
governmental entities, demonstrating the highest standards of integrity, professionalism, and
expertise; and
WHEREAS, he previously served as governmental practice leader and office lead
for Hannis T. Bourgeois, in its Denham Springs office, bringing deep expertise in
governmental accounting, taxation, and small business advisory services; and
WHEREAS, a graduate of Southeastern Louisiana University with a Bachelor of
Science in Accounting, he has combined his professional accomplishments with
commitment to community service; and
WHEREAS, Ferdie Genre has served as a long-term board member and treasurer of
the Livingston Economic Development Council and remains actively engaged in the local
community, serving in various capacities on boards, clubs, and in his church; and

WHEREAS, his career embodies the very qualities for which the Bob Easterly
Award was established, including leadership, service, lifelong commitment to professional
excellence, and the economic well being of Livingston Parish.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Senate of the Legislature of Louisiana
does hereby commend and congratulate Fernand "Ferdie" P. Genre upon receiving the
Livingston Economic Development Council's Bob Easterly Award.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to
Fernand "Ferdie" P. Genre.
