SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 88

A RESOLUTION
To recognize Monday, April 20, 2026, as Livingston Parish Day at the Louisiana State
Capitol.
WHEREAS, Livingston Parish is a proud and rapidly growing parish in the state of
Louisiana, known for its strong communities, deep-rooted values, and unwavering spirit; and
WHEREAS, the citizens of Livingston Parish consistently demonstrate resilience,
hard work, and a commitment to faith, family, and service, which contribute to the strength
and stability of the state as a whole; and
WHEREAS, Livingston Parish plays a vital role in Louisiana's economy through its
workforce, small businesses, and continued development, while maintaining a culture that
reflects the heritage and traditions of this state; and
WHEREAS, faced with challenges, including infrastructure, flood risks, and rapid
community growth, the leadership of Livingston Parish has displayed great fortitude and
tenacity in addressing these challenges while continuing to invest in its future; and
WHEREAS, Livingston Parish Day at the Louisiana State Capitol provides an
opportunity to recognize the achievements, contributions, and residents of Livingston Parish
and to celebrate its continued progress.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Senate of the Legislature of Louisiana
does hereby recognize Monday, April 20, 2026, as Livingston Parish Day at the Louisiana
State Capitol.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to the
Livingston Parish President and the members of the Livingston Parish legislative delegation.
