SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 95
BY SENATOR CATHEY
A RESOLUTION
To designate April 28, 2026, as Louisiana 4-H and FFA Day at the Louisiana State Capitol
and to commend the state officers of Louisiana 4-H and the Louisiana FFA
Association.
WHEREAS, Louisiana 4-H and the Louisiana FFA Association are two of the largest
youth leadership organizations in the state, empowering young people through hands-on
learning, service, and career development; and
WHEREAS, Louisiana 4-H, the youth development program through the LSU
AgCenter, engages young people in meaningful learning experiences that build leadership,
citizenship, and life skills across all sixty-four parishes; and
WHEREAS, the National FFA organization prepares and trains students for
leadership and careers in the science, business, and technology of agriculture, and its motto
"Learning to Do, Doing to Learn, Earning to Live, Living to Serve" provides members with
values to guide their development; and
WHEREAS, Louisiana 4-H and FFA members exemplify dedication, leadership,
integrity, and service to their schools, communities, and the state of Louisiana.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Senate of the Legislature of Louisiana
does hereby designate April 28, 2026, as Louisiana 4-H and FFA Day at the Louisiana State
Capitol.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Legislature recognizes and commends the
2025-2026 Louisiana 4-H state officers as follows: Dayton Pennington, president; Ethan
Fusilier, vice president; Joe Lewis, secretary; Luke Mire, historian/reporter; and Armund
Wilson, parliamentarian.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Legislature recognizes and commends the
2025-2026 Louisiana FFA state officers as follows: Owen Kelly, president; Lola Frink, vice
president; Jacob Craft, vice president; Baileigh Conner, vice president; Bob Bourgeois, vice
president; Molly Beaubouef, secretary; AndiKaye Ainsworth, treasurer; Anthony Plaisance,
reporter; Jaiden Porche, sentinel; and Madelyn Fossum, parliamentarian.
