SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 99

A RESOLUTION
To designate Wednesday, April 29, 2026, as Gulf States Renewable Energy Industries
Association Day at the Louisiana State Capitol.
WHEREAS, the Gulf States Renewable Energy Industries Association (GSREIA)
is the trade association of member companies leading in all parts of the renewable energy
supply chain; and
WHEREAS, GSREIA members provide high quality Louisiana jobs, local property
tax revenue, and economic benefits to local communities; and
WHEREAS, Project Vanguard is the nation's premier veteran-led network,
connecting and transitioning service members and veterans with meaningful careers across
the full spectrum of the American energy sector, from oil and gas, to renewable and nuclear,
across every field of the industry; and
WHEREAS, GSREIA and Project Vanguard collaborate with a diverse array of
companies throughout the supply chain, including manufacturers, suppliers, distributors, and
developers of energy systems and components, as well as providers of installation,
maintenance, and grid integration services; and
WHEREAS, GSREIA and Project Vanguard support the continued deployment of
renewable energy resources, strengthening grid reliability, and contributing to long-term
economic investment and job creation in the state; and
WHEREAS, GSREIA and Project Vanguard have fostered expansion of the sector
across utility-scale, commercial, and residential energy generation and storage, creating jobs,
and supporting economic development; and
WHEREAS, GSREIA and Project Vanguard promote the expansion of new energy
generation, the strengthening of the region's renewable energy infrastructure, and
contributing to Louisiana's energy security and resilience in the face of natural disasters; and

WHEREAS, GSREIA includes companies across the nation and the Gulf Coast
region, from small businesses to Fortune 500 companies, and stimulates sustainable
economic growth by supporting workforce development, removing market barriers, and
promoting innovation.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Senate of the Legislature of Louisiana
does hereby extend sincere wishes that the association continue to cultivate a prosperous
future, create jobs, and bolster innovation in the energy sector in Louisiana and across the
country.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Senate of the Legislature of Louisiana does
hereby commend Gulf States Renewable Energy Industries Association and Project
Vanguard and designates Wednesday, April 29, 2026, as Gulf States Renewable Energy
Industries Association Day.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to Gulf
States Renewable Energy Industries Association and Project Vanguard.
