1Be it enacted by the People of the State of Maine as follows:
2Sec. 1. 12 MRSA §12709 is enacted to read:
3§12709. Relocation of common loons; prohibition
4 A common loon, Gavia immer, may not be relocated from a body of water that
5 measures 500 acres or less as part of a wildlife relocation program.
6SUMMARY
7 This bill prohibits the removal of a common loon from a body of water that measures
8 500 acres or less as part of a wildlife relocation program.
