1Be it enacted by the People of the State of Maine as follows:
2Sec. 1. 22 MRSA §42, sub-§10 is enacted to read:
310. Reproductive health care. The commissioner may not adopt a rule that places a
4 ban or restriction on access to reproductive health care, including contraceptives and
5 fertility treatments that are recognized by the American Society for Reproductive
6 Medicine, its successor organization or a comparable organization.
7SUMMARY
8 This bill prohibits the Commissioner of Health and Human Services from adopting
9 rules that place a ban or restriction on access to reproductive health care.
