1Be it enacted by the People of the State of Maine as follows:
2Sec. 1. 22 MRSA §3477, sub-§1, ¶A, as amended by PL 2011, c. 291, §2 and c.
3 657, Pt. W, §5, is further amended by amending subparagraph (28) to read:
4 (28) A court-appointed guardian or conservator; or
5Sec. 2. 22 MRSA §3477, sub-§1, ¶A, as amended by PL 2011, c. 291, §2 and c.
6 657, Pt. W, §5, is further amended by amending subparagraph (29) to read:
7 (29) A chair of a professional licensing board that has jurisdiction over mandated
8 reporters; or
9Sec. 3. 22 MRSA §3477, sub-§1, ¶A, as amended by PL 2011, c. 291, §2 and c.
10 657, Pt. W, §5, is further amended by enacting a new subparagraph (30) to read:
11 (30) A municipal general assistance officer.
12Sec. 4. 22 MRSA §4011-A, sub-§1, ¶A, as amended by PL 2009, c. 211, Pt. B,
13 §18 and PL 2011, c. 657, Pt. W, §5, is further amended by amending subparagraph (31) to
14 read:
15 (31) A family or domestic violence victim advocate; and
16Sec. 5. 22 MRSA §4011-A, sub-§1, ¶A, as amended by PL 2009, c. 211, Pt. B,
17 §18 and PL 2011, c. 657, Pt. W, §5, is further amended by amending subparagraph (32) to
18 read:
19 (32) A school bus driver or school bus attendant; and
20Sec. 6. 22 MRSA §4011-A, sub-§1, ¶A, as amended by PL 2009, c. 211, Pt. B,
21 §18 and PL 2011, c. 657, Pt. W, §5, is further amended by enacting a new subparagraph
22 (33) to read:
23 (33) A municipal general assistance officer.
24SUMMARY
25 This bill makes municipal general assistance officers mandated reporters of the
26 suspected abuse, neglect or exploitation of incapacitated or dependent adults and of the
27 suspected abuse or neglect of children or a suspicious child death.
