1Be it enacted by the People of the State of Maine as follows:
2Sec. 1. 20-A MRSA §6502 is enacted to read:
3§6502. Access to menstrual products
4 A school administrative unit shall require its schools that serve students in any of
5 grades 6 to 12 to make available menstrual products to students at no cost in all school
6 bathrooms. For purposes of this section, "menstrual products" means tampons and sanitary
7 pads used with respect to menstruation.
8SUMMARY
9 This bill requires school administrative units to require their schools that serve students
10 in any of grades 6 to 12 to make available menstrual products to students at no cost in all
11 school bathrooms.
