1Be it enacted by the People of the State of Maine as follows:
2Sec. 1. 3 MRSA §165, sub-§9 is enacted to read:
39. Testimony before committees. During a public hearing, each person offering
4 testimony before the committee must be allowed the same amount of time to testify.
5SUMMARY
6 This bill requires that joint standing and joint select committees of the Legislature must
7 provide equal time to testify to each person testifying before that committee during a public
8 hearing.
