1Be it enacted by the People of the State of Maine as follows:
2Sec. 1. 4 MRSA §1804, sub-§3, ¶F-1 is enacted to read:
3 F-1. Develop and maintain a system to compensate paralegals employed to assist in
4 providing indigent legal services at the average labor market rate for paralegal services;
5SUMMARY
6 This bill requires the Maine Commission on Public Defense Services to implement a
7 system to compensate paralegals employed to help provide indigent legal services at the
8 average labor market rate for paralegal services.
