1Be it enacted by the People of the State of Maine as follows:
2Sec. 1. 25 MRSA §1504, first ¶, as amended by PL 1985, c. 785, Pt. B, §109, is
3 further amended to read:
4 The Governor shall determine the salary of the chief and , the deputy chief and majors.
5 The compensation of the other members of the State Police shall be is determined under
6 the Civil Service Law.
7SUMMARY
8 This bill requires the Governor to determine the salaries of majors in the Department
9 of Public Safety, Maine State Police.
