1Sec. 1. Department of Health and Human Services to increase MaineCare
2reimbursement for detoxification services. Resolved: That, no later than January 1,
3 2026, the Department of Health and Human Services shall amend its rule Chapter 101:
4 MaineCare Benefits Manual, Chapter III, Section 97, Private Non-Medical Institution
5 Services, Appendix B, Principles of Reimbursement for Substance Use Treatment
6 Facilities, to reimburse for non-hospital-based medically supervised withdrawal services at
7 no less than $594.38 per day.
8SUMMARY
9 This resolve requires the Department of Health and Human Services to amend its rule
10 Chapter 101: MaineCare Benefits Manual, Chapter III, Section 97, Private Non-Medical
11 Institution Services, Appendix B to reimburse for non-hospital-based medically supervised
12 withdrawal services at no less than $594.38 per day. The department must amend the rule
13 no later than January 1, 2026.
