1Be it enacted by the People of the State of Maine as follows:
2Sec. 1. 22 MRSA §2770 is enacted to read:
3§2770. Maine Parentage Act brochure distribution
4 The Maine Center for Disease Control and Prevention shall create and distribute an
5 informational brochure answering basic questions regarding the Maine Parentage Act. The
6 brochure must be distributed to appropriate public health and medical facilities, physicians'
7 offices and other venues in the State frequented by the general public as determined by the
8 Director of the Maine Center for Disease Control and Prevention.
9SUMMARY
10 This bill requires the Department of Health and Human Services, Maine Center for
11 Disease Control and Prevention to create an informational brochure answering basic
12 questions regarding the Maine Parentage Act and to distribute the brochure to appropriate
13 public health and medical facilities, physicians' offices and other venues in the State
14 frequented by the general public.
