1Be it enacted by the People of the State of Maine as follows:
2Sec. 1. 1 MRSA §30 is enacted to read:
3§30. Prohibition on COVID-19 vaccination
4 A department, agency, official, agent or employee of the State may not require a person
5 to receive a vaccine designed to increase an individual's immunity against or prevent
6 coronavirus disease 2019, also known as COVID-19.
7Sec. 2. 22 MRSA §802, sub-§4-B, ¶D is enacted to read:
8 D. An individual may not be required to receive a vaccine designed to increase an
9 individual's immunity against or prevent coronavirus disease 2019, also known as
10 COVID-19.
11Sec. 3. 32 MRSA §84-B is enacted to read:
12§84-B. Prohibition on COVID-19 vaccination
13 The board or commissioner may not require a person licensed under this chapter to
14 receive a vaccine designed to increase an individual's immunity against or prevent
15 coronavirus disease 2019, also known as COVID-19.
16SUMMARY
17 This bill prohibits the State from requiring any person, including health care facility
18 employees and emergency medical services personnel, to receive a COVID-19 vaccine.
