1Sec. 1. Department of Environmental Protection to submit report on
2chemical and metal levels. Resolved: That, by December 3, 2025, the Department of
3 Environmental Protection shall submit a report to the Joint Standing Committee on
4 Environment and Natural Resources regarding available information on the levels of
5 chemicals and metals, both airborne and in soil, in the State, including information on any
6 periodic sampling performed by the department.
7Sec. 2. Department of Environmental Protection to submit report on soil
8testing on solar panel farm sites. Resolved: That, by December 3, 2025, the
9 Department of Environmental Protection shall submit a report to the Joint Standing
10 Committee on Environment and Natural Resources regarding soil testing done by the
11 department on solar panel farm sites in the State, including testing done before installation,
12 testing done after installation and any ongoing testing, and any results of that testing.
13SUMMARY
14 This resolve directs the Department of Environmental Protection to submit 2 reports to
15 the Joint Standing Committee on Environment and Natural Resources. The first report
16 must include available information on the levels of chemicals and metals, both airborne
17 and in soil, in the State, including information on any periodic sampling performed by the
18 department. The 2nd report must include information regarding soil testing done by the
19 department on solar panel farm sites in the State, including testing done before installation,
20 testing done after installation and any ongoing testing, and any results of that testing.
