AN ACT concerning 1
Maryland Horse Industry Board – Sunset Extension 2
FOR the purpose of continuing the Maryland Horse Industry Board in accordance with the 3
provisions of the Maryland Program Evaluation Act (sunset law) by extending to a 4
certain date the termination provisions relating to the statutory and regulatory 5
authority of the Board; and generally relating to the Maryland Horse Industry 6
Board. 7

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF MARYLAND, 18

Subject to the evaluation and reestablishment provisions of the Program Evaluation 4
Act, the provisions of this subtitle and of any rule or regulation adopted under this subtitle 5
shall terminate and be of no effect after July 1, [2026] 2036. 6
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect June 7
1, 2026. 8
