FOR the purpose of increasing the annual salaries and providing for cost –of–living salary 4
increases for the chair, certain part–time inspectors, and other members of the Board 5
of License Commissioners for Anne Arundel County; and generally relating to 6
alcoholic beverages and the Board of L icense Commissioners for Anne Arundel 7
County. 8
BY repealing and reenacting, without amendments, 9

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF MARYLAND, 6
That the Laws of Maryland read as follows: 7
Article – Alcoholic Beverages and Cannabis 8
11–101. 9
(a) In this title: 10
(1) the definitions in § 1 –101 of this article apply without exception or 11
variation; and 12
(2) the following words have the meanings indicated. 13
(b) “Board” means the Board of License Commissioners for Anne Arundel County. 14
11–102. 15
This title applies only in Anne Arundel County. 16
11–204. 17
(a) (1) The chair of the Board shall receive: 18
(I) an annual salary [of] THAT: 19
1. IS not [more] LESS than [$18,000] $21,240; and 20
2. INCLUDES ANY COST –OF–LIVING INCREASE 21
AVAILABLE TO NONREPRESENTED ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY NONREPRESENTED 22
EMPLOYEES; AND 23
(II) reimbursement for expenses reasonably incurred. 24
(2) Each other member of the Board shall receive: 25
(I) an annual salary [of] THAT: 26
1. IS not [more] LESS than [$15,000] $17,700; and 27

2. INCLUDES ANY COST –OF–LIVING INCREASE 1
AVAILABLE TO NONREPRESENTED ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY NONREPRESENTED 2
EMPLOYEES; AND 3
(II) reimbursement for expenses reasonably incurred. 4
11–206. 5
(a) (1) The Board may employ: 6
(i) one part –time deputy chief inspector at an annual salary [of] 7
THAT: 8
1. IS NOT LESS THAN $18,000; and 9
2. INCLUDES ANY COST –OF–LIVING INCREASE 10
AVAILABLE TO NONREPRESENTED ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY NONREPRESENTED 11
EMPLOYEES; AND 12
(ii) 18 part–time inspectors at an annual salary [of $7,000] THAT: 13
1. IS NOT LESS THAN $8,260 each; AND 14
2. INCLUDES ANY COST –OF–LIVING INCREASE 15
AVAILABLE TO NONREPRESENTED ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY NONREPRESENTED 16
EMPLOYEES. 17
(2) Each inspector shall receive a monthly expense allowance of $300, 18
subject to the approval of the Executive Director. 19
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect July 20
1, 2026. 21
