FOR the purpose of requiring a developer, builder, broker, or real estate agent to enter the 4
final sale price of a new home into a multip le listing service or similarly accessible 5
database; and generally relating to the sale of new homes. 6

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF MARYLAND, 12
That the Laws of Maryland read as follows: 13

(A) IN THIS SECTION , “MULTIPLE LISTING SER VICE” MEANS A DATABASE 16
USED BY REAL ESTATE PROFESSIONALS TO FAC ILITATE THE SALE OF REAL 17
PROPERTY, INCLUDING USE IN THE PREPARATION OF MARKET EVALUATIONS AND 18
APPRAISALS. 19

(B) WITHIN 30 DAYS AFTER THE SALE OF A NEW HOME IN THE STATE, A 20
DEVELOPER, BUILDER, BROKER, OR REAL ESTATE AGENT SHALL ENTER THE FINAL 21
2 HOUSE BILL 920

SALE PRICE OF THE NE W HOME INTO A MULTIP LE LISTING SERVICE OR SIMILARLY 1
ACCESSIBLE DATABASE. 2

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect 3
October 1, 2026. 4
