A BILL ENTITLED

AN ACT concerning 1

Maryland Transit Administration – Fifth Bus Division Facility – Construction 2

FOR the purpose of requiring the Maryland Transit Administration to complete 3
construction of the Administration’s fifth bus division facility on or before a certain 4
date; and generally relating to the Maryland Transit Administration’s fifth bus 5
division. 6

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF MARYLAND, 12
That the Laws of Maryland read as follows: 13

Article – Transportation 14

(A) ON OR BEFORE JUNE 30, 2032, THE ADMINISTRATION SHALL 16
COMPLETE CONSTRUCTION OF A FIFTH BUS DIVISION FACILITY. 17

(B) BEGINNING WITH THE FI SCAL YEAR 2027 THROUGH 2033 18
CONSOLIDATED TRANSPORTATION PROGRAM, THE DEPARTMENT AND THE 19
ADMINISTRATION SHALL IDENTIFY THE FUNDING NECESSARY TO ENSURE THAT THE 20
ADMINISTRATION’S FIFTH BUS DIVISION FACILITY IS IN OPERATION ON OR BEFORE 21
JUNE 30, 2032. 22

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect July 1
1, 2026. 2
