Harford County – Alcoholic Beverages – Class HC (Health Club) License – Hours 2
of Sale 3
FOR the purpose of altering the hours during which a holder of a Class HC (health club) 4
beer and wine license in Harford County may sell alcoholic beverages; and generally 5
relating to alcoholic beverages licenses in Harford County. 6

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF MARYLAND, 17
That the Laws of Maryland read as follows: 18

This title applies only in Harford County. 1

(a) There is: 3
(1) a 6–day Class HC (health club) beer and wine license; and 4
(2) a 7–day Class HC (health club) beer and wine license. 5
(b) The Board may issue the 6–day or the 7–day license to a person who: 6
(1) sells health club services, as defined in § 14–12B–01 of the Commercial 7
Law Article; 8
(2) has a health club facility that offers: 9
(i) an indoor or outdoor swimming pool; or 10
(ii) pickleball courts; 11
(3) has at least 150 members who pay dues; and 12
(4) owns or leases real property in the county for use as a for –profit or 13
nonprofit health club facility. 14
(c) (1) The 6–day license authorizes the license holder to sell beer and wine 15
from Monday through Saturday in a bar area at a swimming pool or an indoor lounge or 16
both. 17
(2) The 7–day license authorizes the license holder to sell beer and wine 18
from Monday through Sunday in a bar area at a swimming pool or an indoor lounge or both. 19
(d) The 6–day license holder and the 7–day license holder may sell beer and wine 20
for on–premises consumption from 1 p.m. to [9 p.m.] 11 P.M. 21
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect July 22
1, 2026. 23
