AN ACT concerning 1

Health Occupations – Structural Racism Training – Funding Sources 2

FOR the purpose of clarifying the intent of the General Assembly regarding the 3
development and offering of certain structural racism training ; and generally 4
relating to structural racism training funding sources. 5

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments, 6
Chapter 478 of the Acts of the General Assembly of 2025 7
Section 3 8

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF MARYLAND, 9
That the Laws of Maryland read as follows: 10

SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That it is the intent of the General 12
Assembly that the structural racism training required unde r this Act be developed and 13
offered AT NO COST TO THE STATE using funding from EXTERNAL SOURCES, SUCH AS 14
the grant provided to the Maryland Nurses Association from the American Nurses 15
Association to advance antiracism efforts. 16

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect June 17
1, 2026. 18
