FOR the purpose of altering the statute of limitations for the prosecution or enforcement of 4
a civil suit to enforce certain local consumer protection codes; and generally relating 5
to the statute of limitations for prosecuting or enforcing a civil suit to enforce local 6
consumer protection codes. 7

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF MARYLAND, 13

AUTHORITIES KNEW OR REASONABLY SHOULD HAVE KNOWN OF THE VIOLATION. 2

SECTION 2. AND B E IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect 3
October 1, 2026. 4
