AN ACT concerning 1

Calvert County – CalvertHealth Medical Center 2

FOR the purpose of altering the statutory reference to the name Calvert Memorial Hospital 3
to be CalvertHealth Medical Center; and generally relating to references to the 4
CalvertHealth Medical Center. 5

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments, 6

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF MARYLAND, 11
That the Laws of Maryland read as follows: 12

Article 5 – Calvert County 13

5–202. 14

The County Commissioners may appropriate a sum in an amount to be determined 15
by them to the [Calvert Memorial Hospital] CALVERTHEALTH MEDICAL CENTER, INC., 16
AND ITS SUCCESSORS. 17

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect 18
October 1, 2026. 19
