AN ACT concerning 1

Maryland Aviation Administration – Airport Passenger Screening Partnership 2
Program 3

FOR the purpose of authorizing the Maryland Aviation Administration, with the approval 4
of the Governor and the Secretary of Transportation, to participate in the 5
Transportation Security Administration’s Screening Partnership Program; and 6
generally relating to airport passenger screening. 7

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF MARYLAND, 18
That the Laws of Maryland read as follows: 19

(a) In this title the following words have the meanings indicated. 22

WITH THE APPROVAL OF THE GOVERNOR AND THE SECRETARY, THE 3
ADMINISTRATION MAY PARTICIPATE IN THE FEDERAL TRANSPORTATION SECURITY 4
ADMINISTRATION’S SCREENING PARTNERSHIP PROGRAM. 5

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act is an emergency 6
measure, is necessary for the immediate preservation of the public health or safety, has 7
been passed by a yea and nay vote supported by three –fifths of all the members elected to 8
each of the two Houses of the General Assembly, and shall take effect from the date it is 9
enacted. 10
