AN ACT concerning 1
State Board of Environmental Health Specialists – Sunset Extension 2
FOR the purpose of continuing the State Board of Environmental Health Specialists, in 3
accordance with the provisions of the Maryland Program Evaluation Act (sunset 4
law), by extending to a certain date the termination provisions relating to the 5
statutory and regulatory authority of the Board; and generally relating to the State 6
Board of Environmental Health Specialists. 7

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF MARYLAND, 18

There is a State Board of Environmental Health Specialists in the Department. 3

Subject to the evaluation and reestablishment provisions of the Program Evaluation 5
Act, the provisions of this title and of any rule or regulation adopted under this title shall 6
terminate and be of no effect after July 1, [2027] 2032. 7
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect June 8
1, 2026. 9
