AN ACT concerning 1
Correctional Officers’ Retirement System – Redeposit of Accumulated 2
Contributions – Alterations 3
FOR the purpose of authorizing a member of the Correctional Officers’ Retirement System 4
to receive certain service credit on the redeposit of contributions from the Employees’ 5
Pension System or the Teachers’ Pension System; and generally relating to service 6
credit in the Correctional Officers’ Retirement System. 7
BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments, 8

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF MARYLAND, 13
That the Laws of Maryland read as follows: 14
Article – State Personnel and Pensions 15
25–304. 16
A member of the Correctional Officers’ Retirement System who previously 17
terminated membership and withdrew accumulated contributions from either the 18
Correctional Officers’ Retirement System, the Employees’ Retirement System, [or] THE 19
EMPLOYEES’ PENSION SYSTEM, the Teachers’ Retirement System, OR THE TEACHERS’ 20
PENSION SYSTEM may receive service credit for the period of employment during the 21
previous membership if the member redeposits in a single payment the withdrawn 22
accumulated contributions plus regular interest to the date of redeposit. 23
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect July 24
