FOR the purpose of extending through a certain fiscal year the requirement that a certain 3
appropriation be included in the annual budget bill for the Recovery Residence Grant 4

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF MARYLAND, 17

(a) In this section, “Program” means the Recovery Residence Grant Program. 1
(b) (1) There is a Recovery Residence Grant Program in the Department. 2
(2) The purpose of the Program is to provide grants to recovery residences 3
in the State in accordance with this section. 4
(g) For each of fiscal years 2024 through [2027] 2030, the annual budget bill shall 5
include an appropriation of $500,000 for the Program. 6
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect July 7
1, 2026. 8
