FOR the purpose of increasing the annual salaries and providing for cost –of–living salary 4
increases for the chair, certain part–time inspectors, and other members of the Board 5
of License Commissioners for Anne Arundel County; and generally relating to 6
alcoholic beverages and the Board of License Commissioners for Anne Arundel 7
County. 8

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF MARYLAND, 19
That the Laws of Maryland read as follows: 20

(a) In this title: 2
(1) the definitions in § 1 –101 of this article apply without exception or 3
variation; and 4
(2) the following words have the meanings indicated. 5
(b) “Board” means the Board of License Commissioners for Anne Arundel County. 6
11–102. 7
This title applies only in Anne Arundel County. 8
11–204. 9
(a) (1) The chair of the Board shall receive: 10
(I) an annual salary [of] THAT: 11
1. IS not [more] LESS than [$18,000] $21,240; and 12
2. INCLUDES ANY COST –OF–LIVING INCREASE 13
AVAILABLE TO NONREPRESENTED ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY EMPLOYEES; AND 14
(II) reimbursement for expenses reasonably incurred. 15
(2) Each other member of the Board shall receive: 16
(I) an annual salary [of] THAT: 17
1. IS not [more] LESS than [$15,000] $17,700; and 18
2. INCLUDES ANY COST –OF–LIVING INCREASE 19
AVAILABLE TO NONREPRESENTED ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY EMPLOYEES; AND 20
(II) reimbursement for expenses reasonably incurred. 21

(a) (1) The Board may employ: 23

(i) one part –time deputy chief inspector at an annual salary [of] 1
THAT: 2
1. IS NOT LESS THAN $18,000; and 3
2. INCLUDES ANY COST –OF–LIVING INCREASE 4
AVAILABLE TO NONREPRESENTED ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY EMPLOYEES; AND 5
(ii) 18 part–time inspectors at an annual salary [of $7,000] THAT: 6
1. IS NOT LESS THAN $8,260 each; AND 7
2. INCLUDES ANY COST –OF–LIVING INCREASE 8
AVAILABLE TO NONREPRESENTED ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY EMPLOYEES. 9
(2) Each inspector shall receive a monthly expense allowance of $300, 10
subject to the approval of the Executive Director. 11
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect July 12
1, 2026. 13
